During Season 16 team Thermaltake, The professional eSports team of leading DIY chassis, PSU and cooling solutions brand Thermaltake, played in the German league of Europe’s highest eSports league, the ESL Pro Series. After 14 tough online matches over a period of 6 months Team Thermaltake made it into the finals of a group of only four contestants to fight for the championship. In the end Team Thermaltake successfully won the the Grand Final of the German Championship in the ESL Pro Series from June 12 through 13 in 2010.

A crowd of over 2,500 spectators closely followed every tactical move and shot on three different maps with excitement. In the Grand Final on June 13, Team Thermaltake had to encounter the Alternate Attax, one of Europe’s strongest teams in this segment.

While Team Thermaltake’s strategy failed on de_tuscan with a loss of 05:16, they were able to come back strong on the de_inferno map with an overwhelming 16:08, putting the score at 1:1. The last map thus turned to be the all-decisive match. On de_nuke the two teams found themselves in a draw, resulting in an overtime match on the map with only two rounds. In the first round Team Thermaltake lost with 2:3, only to bounce back mightily and crushing the opponent with 3:0.

This does not only make Team Thermaltake German Champion in Counterstrike Source but even to one of the Top 10 teams in Europe.
