LSV (Ultra Low Speed
at Low Voltage) Fan |
| The standard fan speed vs. input voltage curve
is almost a linear relation, like the blue line
in the picture. For example, the fan speed of
a 70 x 70 x 20 mm fan at 12V is 6000 RPM; its
3000 RPM at 6V. When we use this fan on a motherboard
with PWM fan speed controlled function, the
hardware monitor detect the system is idle,
then supply 6V to the fan, the fan speed is
3000 RPM, but we dont need a high speed (3000
RPM) and louder fan in idle mode, because the
CPU temperature is so low. How we can get a
quiet system in idle mode and cool system in
stress mode? The answer is LSV technology. |
| The LSV fan
provide a non-linear fan speed vs. input
voltage curve, like the red line in
the picture. At 12V (Stress mode), it
provide the same cooling capability
(6000 RPM), at 6V (Idle mode), the fan
speed is only 1500 RPM!! Now, you can
enjoy the quiet and cool system with
LSV technology. |
